CODFA PRESIDENT STANKO ADDRESSES BOT: DISHEARTENED AS THINGS CONTINUE TO HAPPEN TO US
Nancy Stanko, President of the COD Faculty Association and Professor of Office Technology Information, made the following comments to the Board of Trustees at its meeting February 19, 2010:
Good evening Board of Trustees, Dr. Breuder, and all people in the audience. I am Nancy Stanko, president of the COD Faculty Association.
Jim Bente is heading up the PACE survey and we are working with him by encouraging all faculty and staff to complete the survey.
We have experienced record high enrollment growth this past year and are quite disheartened with the College dismissing a tenure track faculty member during this record high enrollment growth. Please reconsider this decision.
The Shared Governance Council is forming and needs to play an important role in providing input into the direction and mission of the college in serving our students. We continue to not be a part of making the changes; things continue to happen to us.
We continue to object to the Board Policies being presented in this evening's Agenda.
