Another offering in a series of "Welfare Notes" that has been created by the Welfare Committee which are intended to ensure that all members of the Faculty Association are educated, informed, or updated in terms of welfare-related concerns and their rights contained within the Contractual Agreement.
Four-Day Work Week
Do you have questions concerning the four-day workweek?
Per the contract (Section D 5.1 p. 20) Reduced Workweek Assignment, "At the request of a Faculty Member and with the approval of the appropriate Administrator and appropriate Vice President, a four day assignment will be available. Criteria, which may be used to determine the availability of a four day assignment will include, but are not limited, to:
- Four day course schedule
- Discipline accessibility
- Evening office hours
- Evening/weekend assignment
- Availability for evening advising
- Availability for institutional governance.
Faculty will be present for divisional and institutional meetings, in-service days, and for all contractual obligations, even if outside the four-day assignment."
