Welfare Note #21
Another offering in a series of "Welfare Notes" that has been created by the Welfare Committee which are intended to ensure that all members of the Faculty Association are educated, informed, or updated in terms of welfare-related concerns and their rights contained within the Contractual Agreement.
Summer CIL Assignments
With the many changes occurring in the CIL, faculty may be asked to do work that in the past had been done by area coordinators. Teaching faculty are only required to do the duties as described in the Contractual Agreement. Faculty are only required to be available during the academic year and the summer session, assuming you are teaching during the summer. You are not required and should not be expected to respond to emails or voice mails during the breaks.
As always, first, read the section (D 6.1 Duties of Teaching Faculty p. 21) in the Contractual Agreement between the Board and the Association! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact any member of the Welfare Committee.
