Section D 7.1.a of our CBA defines Teaching Faculty workload in terms of contact hours. In order to assist Faculty Members in clarifying the language in Section D 7.1.a., a contact hour is defined as “a regularly scheduled period of fifty minutes.” For example, a four contact hour course that meets daily would conduct class four times each week for a period of 50 minutes each class meeting.
